As a member of the newly formed Canadian Armed Forces (Air Element)in 1969, my first posting after basic training and trade training, was to a small northern town, Inuvik, in the North West Territories of Canada, approximately 1500 miles (not KM's) NORTH of the Arctic Circle. To my surprise upon disembarking from the plane in July, at midnight, it was a balmy 80 degrees fahrenheit, the sun was high in the sky, and the mosquitoes and black flies far outnumbered the greeting personnel !!! Luckily, I had packed a bottle of Muskol ( I don't remember how much DEET was in it) and applied it quickly before my particular blood type was zeroed in on by virtually clouds of the aforementioned blood suckers... Not to my amazment, as I had used this product before, the little critters chose my other colleagues to chew on. Noticing that I was not being bothered they asked what I was using to protect myself from the onslaught. I told them it was Muskol and I did not bring enough for all of them plus me.....so the next day the town was scoured for the product with no avail. I contacted the Canadian Tire Store in Edmonton and after getting agreement for payment by all concerned, we had 2 cases flown up to Inuvik. The rest of the summer proved to be enjoyed by all without the risk of major blood loss, thanks to your great product. We all thank you for your dedicated research which led to a product that lets us all enjoy the great outdoors.
Cheers.
